Thanks, man! Yes, I both wrote AND recorded this on Feb 14th. I wanted to do a proper FAWM w/ everything written and recorded within the month before I got to my bubblegum pop stuff. That's what the 2nd half of the month will be dedicated to!
As far as this piece goes, the rising chords was inspired by the way Friedrich Chopin composed some of his slower pieces -this one was inspired by Prelude in E Minor Op. 28 No. 4; In that piece, he famously had a single note as the melody and then changed the harmony by shifting only a single note in the left hand chord. I ended up doing big arpeggios with the left hand and doing the obvious chord changes with my right hand.

Just beautiful. Those rising chords- gah!! This is just wonderful. Did you write this or just play it beautifully? Would love to hear more from you in this vein. Also, how are you at 14 songs already?!
