I'm enjoying this! I'm about to relisten to say something more in-depth, but my first thought is, the style contrast between verse and chorus works for me. I agree there is a disconnect, but it feels like it supports the narrative. The verses to me describe a state of lonesomeness and seeking connection, while the verse implies more looking for a hookup. So the song overall flows like someone trying to fix a need with the wrong medicine (nothing wrong with hooking up on the dancefloor but it may not be a sustainable answer to existential loneliness, hah)

Okay, relistening. There's something so fun happening with your Dutch. I can tell it's not your native tongue - sometimes the sentences are grammatically correct but sound a bit clunky. But then it flows into imagery that's such a specific point of view, or a sentence that really cuts into my heart. So it's another contrast and it's quite wonderful.

(I'm happy to give more feedback on the Dutch if that's wanted as part of learning! but that's not what the above is about)

I love the percussive synths combined with the tambourine and hand drum! Very fun combo. This bops! Awesome synth tones. I love your vocals over everything, the dynamics between the vocals and instrumentals works really well!! Me and my cat enjoyed grooving out to this. Great work!!
