Skirmish: I Turn To You (@s7even)Liner Notes
A different take on the prompt
Lyrics
I turned to you when I needed advice Whatever you said, I didn’t think twice I trusted your opinion, You’ve always been one in a million
So if you say it’s a surefire thing Just what could go wrong? I’ll stake the house and my wedding ring I’ve got a good feeling and the feeling is strong
You’ve been harder to get a hold of I hope everything is alright I tried to call you yesterday, but your number went to voicemail I’m sure there’s no need to worry, it’s just one of those things But if you get this message could you give me a ring?
I turned to you when you entered my life You told me the scheme couldn’t fail Now I’m starting to worry, it’s causing me strife I don’t want to end up in jail
So please call me, Tell me it’ll be alright Just call me, I turned to you, I turned to you

This held space when you are turning to someone that's turning away is a strong concept and works well with your melody, tempo, and chords.
This is a good story. There’s more there but what you wrote works well. Really nice take on the prompt
Oh what a sad song… I this guy has been had…. Seems he turned to the wrong person. I love his optimism though! Wonderful sound and flow to the music.
Plaintive, and rings true. I hope whoever it hears the song and calls you. Loving the vocals and the rich guitar overtones. Superb take on the prompt - and there are quite a few from this skirmish.
