Lyrics written at 4am (don't ask).
Music composed this morning between ferrying children to karate and swimming lessons.
Recorded this afternoon as an #acousticonetake with a couple of harmonies overdubbed at the end.

A bit of a slapdash affair, but I didn't want to spend too long as it's essentially just a silly little #meta FAWM/Valentine's #lovesong.

(Edit: I just noticed that - completely accidentally - I've also ticked off the sawtooth melody challenge 😎 ).

Haha! Witty and frank and pleasingly meta. And a good attempt to placate your wife, I imagine 😊

Sidenote, I really like the timbre of your voice in this recording. Especially on some of those lower, more spoken-sounding phrases.

Melodic and really well played, that descending chord pattern carries the whole thing beautifully. I love how you’ve wrapped all those FAWM in jokes and Valentine’s meta moments into something that still feels genuinely warm and heartfelt. And honestly, writing at 4am, composing between karate and swimming runs, and still getting it recorded the same day… that’s some seriously impressive time management.

In our house we've never been fussed with doing stuff for Valentines Day (although ironically this year we ended up going to the cinema to watch Harold And Maude). All of which is to say, the song is excruciatingly funny, but - as with all your songs - is full of heart and love and that's all anyone needs really, isn't it?

Very funny David -I have wedding anniversary and valentines day to contend with! My wife call herself a "February Widow" the last bit of this song certainly resonates! nice mate

This is so many things wrapped up in one lovely Valentine’s Day package. It’s humorous but yet with a warm and caring underbelly. Such a sweet sentiment and honest truth. Except for maybe the richaaaay bit. I give you major kudos for: staying up until 4am working on this; writing a FAWM meta song; doing a one take and capturing such a quality recording; and, most importantly, tipping your hat with love and appreciation to your wonderful wife…Well done DT! You da man!!!

Thanks dude, really appreciate that! And she did genuinely love Wobbiedabadobbie when I played it to her. I should say, I woke up at 4am and couldn’t go back to sleep, rather than staying up. I’m not totally crazy 😜
