Same Old Bones
Lyrics
Wake up tired with nothing to Say - some Words just get in the way - it gets more like this every Day
It takes more Time than I've got and some Nights I Think that a lot and it seems like it happens more often than Not
And All that I have is What I brought with me, it's Got to be enough
Same old Bones that I started out With - Same Heart that I Broke into bits Same Eyes that just cry over it
Don't waste Time you will run out of that- it catches Up, wherever you're At - finds you standing and leaves you Flat
And All that I have is What I brought with me, it's Got to be enough
With the same old Bones that I started out With - Same Heart that I Broke into bits Same Eyes that just cry over it
Less in front of me Than behind me Every thing I see just reminds me
But I Won't sit Down, I'll stand up and Fight - Won't go Quietly into the Night - If I Have to I'll go it alone With these same old hands With these same old eyes and this same old heart And these same old bones

I'm relating to this song way to much right now.
I love the lyrics, and I think you’ve created a beautiful song to deliver them to the world. Excellent title, both on the page, and how it comes across in your vocal. Nice job all around. Glad I found this.
Very emotional instrumentation here and it works great. (Not sure I've heard you play with strings backing before?) Favorite lines: "Less in front of me / Than behind me" The way the last word in the each verse's line bleeds into the start of the next one is a neat structural choice.
