Stemento Mori
Liner Notes
For logistical reasons this is likely the last time you'll hear the full band this FAWM. We jammed out loads of cool riffs on wednesday night but when I imported the stems into reaper to come up with some lyrics (nearly two hours of rehearsal) all the existing songs we were tightening up were there, but only about the first 10 seconds of new material, the rest of the tracks were silence. no idea why.
Lyrics
Remember You will die Remember you will die All good things go awry Remember you will die
Stemento Mori!
I thought it would never end The sky cracked and gods descend But put the files in reaper Not even a whisper
Stemento Mori
Solo
Attack ships on Fire Off the Shoulder of Orion The moment slips away again Like tears lost in the rain
Stemento Mori
Double solo with spoken word section The instruments you are hearing were recorded during a raucous rehearsal by Psychobilly Adjacent Garage Blues Band The Spike Direction Effect, at The Fort Studio in The Medway Towns on 11th February 2026. During this session a number of exciting musical compositions were devised on the fly by the musicians present. Due to vagaries of technology, only this warmup track survives. It shall stand as a memorial to these excellent balls of audio potential, which are destined to exist only in the fevered memories of The Spike Direction Effect.
Stemento Mori
I couldn’t wait to hear The jams we birthed in there But damn that SD card The silence was so damn loud
Stemento Mori
Remember You will die Remember you will die All good things go awry Remember you will die
Stemento Mori!

Great, it sounds like good old days :)
oooo nooooooo. Its so annoying when that happens. RIP Stems. You lived fast and died young!
Ah, the heartbreak of glitchy recordings. Haha these lyrics are awesome! Nice explanation in the spoken word bit. Right, I get it now, Stemento Mori. Took me a bit, sorry; I still haven't finished my morning coffee. Good one here.
This is fun, like garage rock should be. Nothing quite like having tech fail destroy that great take you thought you had. Stemento Mori LOL
Love the garage rock happening here! Nice playing with reckless abandon... Cool vocal delivery as well.
Bam! Great drive and punch in the delivery. Fun 😎
