a lot of night themes cropping up this month! this is another skirmish that didn't quite get done in an hour. The prompt was what keeps you up at night, and I immediately thought of this chorus snippet I've had lying around for years but I had a helluva time trying to find lyrics that weren't overly metaphorical or esoteric to describe "general anxiety" or "the fear of being perceived" or "the feeling like the world is barrelling over a cliff" which are very different fears and I kind of tried to smush them all into one here with mixed results. But the chorus still slaps! Went for a real simple house beat.

Such a banger! Loving the tom drum groove grounding it all the way through. The beats as a whole are slick AF, very glitchy too. And that chorus is one helluva hooky earworm! Could easily hear this expanded into a fully fledged beast.

"didn't quite get done in an hour" — so music just kinda falls out o' you huh, that's aMAzin', it's a whole dang. you can listen to it,, there's some pretty nice sequences o' words that mean a thing even. you can stick this in a soundhole where people go for sounds and they will go whoOPEE I Got What I Came For

Oh yes, this has a perfect night time vibe. That Atoms for Peace-y beat that breaks out into something more house-y is lovely. The simplistic bass/synths (in a good way) really let your vocal flourish. Probably one of the least jazz influenced things I've heard you do. Killer!

Fantastic novel interpretation of the prompt. I love the interplay between “heartbeat” and the bass drum pulse in the chorus.

This is some solid house! Great job on this track, very impressed with it being a skirmish piece! I really enjoyed the vocals being in parallel 5ths(?.. 4ths?) Now we need the long play club mix, not just the radio edit ;)

I think this is the first of your songs I've gotten to hear yet this FAWM (the fault is all mine!) and this has a great melodic direction and powerful lyric. Really well done. Also, anxiety and insomnia suck.
