Lyrics
Heart, Hands and Eyes February 8, 2026
She had a wall filled with blue ribbons From all the county fairs Fair? It was not When she was there.
Dream, fantasize, the sweetest pies Apple, berries or pear Cookies and blondie bars And brownie squares
CHORUS: The look, the taste, the texture Uniform shape, uniform size Secret ingredients for her? …Her heart, her hands, her eyes (Her) Heart, hands and eyes.
Her friends would all tell her To open up a shop (…but she had) No interest in business No, certainly not.
Sugar, spices, always the nicest… Looking tortes and cakes Just for the love… And thrill… of the bake

Love songs about food är highly underrated. Smooth and slow in the structure with loads of time to taste every line. Well done.
A Flour(y) song about someone who likes to Bake. Sifting through your wonderful lyrics and your fine playing really elevate this tune. I like your ending too.
Ah, this virtuous baker and her wholesome tale. The descending guitar flourishes are, dare I say, tasty.......Are you sure you weren't sent here by my local pie shop to drum up business??? I have a serious sweettooth and this tune is most certainly not helping.
I always love a good song about food. Now I want to meet her and eat some pies, or tortes, or cakes or... whatever sugar rush she could give me. The guitar is tasty too!
