I was taking my kids to school and a guy in a Camaro sped by us and snaked through traffic at a dangerous speed. I told the kids, “I’ll be writing a song about that guy for sure,” and my oldest replied, “in the style of ‘Devil Went Down to Georgia?’”

Yes. And then I started putting it down and thought, maybe also a rave at the end? yolo, let's get weird.

The first deadly serious “Camaro guy” made me cackle! Definitely wasn’t expecting the shift to dance song 3/4 of the way in. Loved every second of this piece

Ross this is really great, the harmonies are sweet and I love the little inclusions of guitar slide and western vibes. The chorus is super catchy and the chord progression is great. Also hell yeah rave!

Your oldest knows what's up. This is INCREDIBLE!!! I'd love to see this on a PSA or in a driver's ed course. The production is so high quality, and I loved the electronic beat and the effects at the end. So well done, friend.

Bless the guy that he inspired this! Great production, funny and witty, but also just plain cool music. 😎

My observation is that the guys who drive really powerful cars - Porsche, Maserati, Camaro - are pretty peaceful drivers. (Car too expensive to go fast and risk ruining it?) It's mostly the guys with overpowered middle class cars - BMW, Audi - or rented-for-a-day Ferraris who have no clue what they're doing...

Holy shit I am still laughing. I pulled my earbuds out and made my spouse listen, too. (She didn't laugh quite as hard as me.) Bold choice to integrate suburban auto drama into the Charlie Daniels framework. Your next assignment: to write a song from Camaro Guy's perspective! (Concept album, bro?)

Sat at a red light about 30 minutes ago, heading home and I kid you not, I saw a dark blue Camaro and said out loud “Camaro Guy”. I got home, and immediately logged in to tell you this. Dig this song! The ending is unexpected and made me smile.
