This year we moved house as FAWM was beginning, and also being a parental leave dad for a 6M bebe gives little room for losing oneself to producing and composing. So when I finally got down to making a track, I naturally caught a bug and can't sing currently.
Fortunately there was a Mega Man 2 challenge! This is my first FAWM entry this year - late to the party but made it!
Tools: Cubase 15 pro, Minibit VST and some cubase drumkit with a bitcrusher.

Nice work! You really managed to jam a ton of musical content into this piece despite the challenge's constraints. It sounds great.

Metal af nice! I'll have to check out Minibit. I used something called NES VST.
Thanks! Have to check that one out as well!
He lives!
Nice job catching the megaman vibe, love the arpeggios. The double kick drums are giving a heavy metal vibe, and it works really well with the 8-bit sounds.
Barely 😂
And thanks for the kind words!
So nice to see you back here, bro! The track definitely takes me back to the simpler times, when you could just forget the world and dive into some video games with a friend after school.
Glad to be in good company!
Them tom drum rolls make me happy!
The weird thing is that, cracker of a chip tune though it is, I can kind of hear it as a melodic metal track.
Yeah I guess it was inevitable :D
I really dig the vibe. Great job.
Thanks!
Very nice! I'm glad the Mega Man challenge is happening again; being an 80s kid, the whole concept just oozes nostalgia. And this is a magnificent example of what can be achieved within the framework of the challenge, as it sounds the part and is an intriguing composition, too.
