I was very much identifying with the elements of the past maybe sabotaging the future. Then you took it much more deeply with the chorus, fleshed out the hurt and pain of the situation. I like that your last pre-chorus is a request and an implicit need of help but also a promise of the narrator doing their best to move forward. Strong emotive elements in this lyric.

This is an awesome song about carrying hurt history. The struggle is real and if Love is the cure we seem to get caught in a chicken egg scenario. Love is hard to communicate connection seems a frustration. Persevere hurt s like an airlock in a pump prime it with love till the bubbles escape.
