Channel Earth
Skirmish: Blackout Lyrics (@mjv)Liner Notes
#random #skirmish #lyricsonly This came out like a deep mystery. I can’t imagine the music, at least not right now.
Lyrics
It’s a rare message and it’s on right now And I tried to tune it in But the network could not carry the voice So I went out to the hill again
Something big is coming in And we are not getting the news Only the informed speculation Of expert interviews
Plant your feel on the ground It’s the only way I know how Channel Earth The powerful planet now
You are not imagining the moment You can wipe away a tear Plug in and you’re the receiver Every word loud and clear
Sit quietly and don’t try to listen Wait for the sound of the bell The light gets three times brighter The story you’ll be able to tell
Plant your feel on the ground It’s the only way I know how Channel Earth The powerful planet now
It looks like a window It reads like a puzzle It sounds like the playlist reset How dark the ink spots can get
If you are frustrated Imagine the seer Who tries to get the message through This time you know what to do
Plant your feel on the ground It’s the only way I know how Channel Earth The powerful planet now
Writing using words selected randomly from other works seemed promising, but I was disappointed in how scattered and mysterious the result was. But the exercise did give me important insight into the nature of Yes lyrics during their classic period.
