Wolf at the Door
Skirmish: Two Chords (@roblyon5150)Liner Notes
This is the new version of Two Chords and a Uke which I wrote for the 2 Chords skirmish. I drummed on the body of my uke during the bridge. I'd like to add more percussion, but need to get this up today. There are a lot of wolves in Minnesota right now. #uke #singersongwriter #minnesotastrong
Lyrics
The wolves are howling at the door Don’t let them in The wolves are howling at the door Don’t let them in Stoke the fire, bar the gate Don’t let them in Pack baying louder Don’t let them in
Protect your own Help your friends Turn to the light When the siege ends
Hunting in packs by the light of day Don’t let them in Fangs masked, armed to the teeth Don’t let them in Stoke the fire, bar the gate Don’t let them in Pack baying louder Don’t let them in

✊ Don't let them in, indeed. I love how this works powerfully as a political statement, but doesn't need the introduction to have its power. The repetition of "don't let them in" is a strong hook. Great write!
Great use of a fun tune! Definitely an earworm with an important message which is the best kind of earworm. ❤️
I liked the refrain of "don't let them in" and then it wasn't the song title. Very timely topic. Definitely keep them out! The melody is memorable!
Minnesota strong...Love that. This is a song I can get behind. Great use of metaphor...
What a great protest song! I'd love to hear you sing this at a No Kings rally! Superb vocals and strumming, and a vital message.
