This #Heavy #Alternative metal #rock adjacent ballad is about metamorphosis, transformation, and the existential threat of failing to move forward- as embodied by the Cicada.

I can't escape from the shell I am, Eclosion promised but ripped away. My wings are crushed underneath my back. I can feel my body begin to break.

I love this theme. It is creative and well written, plus the hook is fantastic. Love the heavy music and vibe of the vocals. I love it!

We need more volume on these guitars, they sound amazing! I really like the idea of playing over an existing drum track. It's a constraint, but it gives us a guideline! Great performance!

It's the only way I'm gonna knock out 14 of these things lol. There may be a year when I learn to program a drum machine , but this is not that year.

Also, listening back, you are absolutely right- the mix buries a lot of the pretty guitar work. I'll probably touch up the mix and reupload tonight; i just wanted that shiny number lol.
