Liner Notes

This was the first song I wrote in February but it's taken me till now to record a version of it. It's really simple but for some reason I just couldn't remember the lyrics when playing it.

I’m waiting But my hope is bloodied and grim I’m waiting The walls have begun to close in And the photos are fading But still I refuse to give in

Cos I can’t escape The rats in the walls Pulling my strings And chewing my soul

I’m waiting And my hair is starting to thin I’m waiting 10 years lost to a sin And there’s no point in fighting There’s nothing left for me to win

Woah, wow. This is so hauntingly lovely. Really made me slow down and take it all in. The lyrics and forlorn synth pulses under that (fantastic sounding) guitar! A beautiful dirge.

Very beautiful first line, love the high note. The beat is so forlorn almost like a funeral dirge. This sounds really cool. Love the added guitar too it gives a little bit of levity to otherwise quite profound mood.

Love the higher notes for the waiting, gives a real structure to it. There is an atmospheric 'droning' quality to this which is quite hypnotic. The final couplet with the 'nothing left for me to win' is great.
