Liner Notes
My goal here was to make a chord progression on the Guitar using natural harmonics only. Quickly I realized there were far more chord possibilities across each string than there were voicing that I could possibly play with one measly fretting hand.
So after yesterday passed and I had done way more thinking about chord voicing options than actual writing I kinda threw in the towel with my lofty Guitar harmonics goal.
The song lyrics are about how I feel like I've abused my musical self through years of accepting low paying gigs that required me to learn hours upon hours of songs that I did not choose, nor cared for, and prioritizing covers over my true goals as a musician. The concept/theme was about an internal battle between what my brain tells me to do in music versus my heart.
Lyrics
Unfeathered pillow, the pendulum swings
Overcompensated, no feeling
Full of cheap thrills, lost a part of me
Can not override the voice inside my head
Untethered below, I'm floating
Past the tree line, I'm hoping I will find
The part of me, I've stolen
Gotta realize I'm not the voice inside my head

Cool harmonics. Nice vocals and the harmonies sounded great. Very unique song!
thank you for listening!
I've never considered making harmony out of guitar harmonics, very impressive; I'll have to give that a shot. Would love to hear a longer version of this, the harmonics have an organ-like quality that is so pretty. Have you listened to Foo Fighters' Sonic Highways? Reminds me a bit of that, could be cool with electric guitars under this.
