The final request from #Filkhaven was by Rafe, for a song about Elaine.

I think the melody/mix might change for the album version, but it is a start.

And also a finish. With the 11 songs I needed for the album done (I had one already).

Now I can go back to my regular FAWM silliness.

That's a killer voice, what an authentic time piece too, this is ace. Love to see the video capture of the moment, I'd never in a million years be able to get a solid one-shot take like that!

Thanks for listening! This is probably my favourite song from the album, I spend a lot of time (thousands of videos) doing takes like this, so it gets easier.

Oh, I like this one a lot. Such evocative guitar playing and singing, and everything flowed well and gracefully in the lyrics. Beauty born of broken things is a wonderful sentiment, and so perfect for this story. I'm super curious to see what you changed (if anything) for the album, because I actually quite enjoyed this version.

In these first takes I often pause over words or fumble the chords changes. I think I just switched guitars and re-recorded with the same melody for this one.
