I'm Feeling Extra Fourty

Liner Notes
I think my songs are devolving. Certainly in lyrical quality if not subject matter, but this little #punk song was the best I could do today with a #ukulele, a #zoomr4 a little bit of time before bed. Maybe my fastest write to post of FAWM yet.
The "feeling extra fourty" came to me while letting out a grunt getting out of the shower. I dashed off a couple of lines (the first ones), and finished the rest tonight.
Not my strongest work, BUT I said I wanted to rock and I'm really stoked with how I got that uke to growl. I used an on board amp with alot of overdrive and a pitch shifter to get that deeper effect in the chorus. Even the guitar solo is uke. This one goes out to all my level 4 friends. 😆
Lyrics
I look down and I start to see my gut My shoulder's messed up and I'm stuck in a rut Stand up straight and I'm feeling extra crooked Shirtless on the beach and nobody's ever looking
I'm feeling extra fourty Sometimes I even bore me Why should I be sorry
Gotta work out or you start to lose that muscle Lift heavy drop sets squats on the double Plant based protein fiber is it just a dream Gotta switch to decaf cause I can't take the caffeine

Thanks! It's really a really versatile, fun, and frustrating (at times) little machine! I find that it's really hard to get "perfection" but if you let go of that you can avoid looking at a computer the entire time you record your song :)
I'm not forty yet, but it's fast approaching. Relatable, especially the part about caffeine! Love the effects you've used to transform the ukulele. Reminds me of early Weezer!
☺️ One of my favorite bands of all time! Thank you.
I feel seen! Really love how you've gotten so many different sounds out of the ukulele. There's some great stuff here.
😆 thank you!
Holy cow... thats uke is growling like Godzilla! Awesome tune
Haha thank you!
Amazing that you’ve gotten the Zoom R4 to transform your uke into a growling beast. Just got an R4 a few days ago. Seems like such a convenient and versatile tool. You are displaying that versatility well here…
