I have never written a hip-hop song before. Regular listeners/FAWMERs will know my usual style, even when stretched, has never, ever, gotten close to hip hop.

Until now. Though I'm not sure if this is close to hip-hop or just close to 50 Cent.

I have no idea if this is any "good" or not. Almost certainly not 😂 but I had a lot of fun writing it, and it gives me an excuse to write some borderline lyrics and not have to defend them because come on, this isn't serious, right? anakinseriousmeme.jpg

Rough mix, particularly the vocals. Just getting some ideas down.

Maybe the first rap song to use the word 'trilobites'...

Came up with some of the lines while I was out for a walk to buy some beers. Like you'd ever catch me in a yacht club...

You can immediately hear that you are usually not making HipHop, that's what makes the song so interesting. I prefer it over every professional HipHop production. The beat is sick, in the arrangement there's lots more going on, the melody brings tension (which is released in the final chord). And your voice is your very own. You're likely not going to make in on any major HipHop playlist with that, but see that as an honor.

Thanks man. I couldn't work out how to make the 'rap' part work without it also being a tune, so I guess it's an odd mix in that way.

This is insane (in the best way possible). Who knew you could pull off a hip hop tune. I love the sinister feel to the backing. There’s a biting intensity that hooked me straight away. Love it
