Strategies For Leisure

Liner Notes
This is a somewhat pensive piece that I originally composed several years ago, but completely rearranged and re-recorded recently. I was interested in developing my orchestral arrangement skills. I really like the result.

How cool! The orchestral arrangements come through so clearly, the organ and the strings are evocative and the piano a light and gentle guide through the journey. Thank you! I am so curious what it sounded like before and am happy you shared it.
Thanks so much for listening, and for the thoughtful comments. The original version was much simpler (fewer parts), and used really cheesey sounds. It has the same vibe, but doesn't sound good. I've really been enjoying the orchestral sample sets I used on this piece, and CODA.
This piece encourages the mind to wander with its variety of expressive tones and subtle polyrhythms. I especially like the quiet episodes in the middle featuring piano and strings. I think this would sound fabulous with an accordion soloist backed by a live orchestra.
