Feeling Good

Liner Notes
I wrote this idea on day 1 and decided to just go ahead and finish it.
Lyrics
Feeling good Is a really hard sell Happy people Tend to like themselves
They don’t need face cream Wrinkles are fine If their hair goes grey They never say dye
When they feel bad They call their friends They don’t swing by the bar They don’t overspend
They understand Bring sad is okay They don’t need stuff To save the day
Emotional stability Gives you the ability To overthrow the man When you’re feeling all your best It’s not in his best interest So pump your fist and be the solution, Feeling good is revolution.
Advertisements Really don’t ring If you don’t feel like You need those things
They want your cash They make the ads They work because You just feel bad
Radically! Self-accept! I think you’re great And very well-kept.
We understand Bring sad is okay We don’t need stuff To save the day
Emotional stability Gives you the ability To overthrow the man When you’re feeling all your best It’s not in his best interest So pump your fist and be the solution, Feeling good is a revolution.

Wow, great message, and a fun, upbeat delivery! Some of my bandmates & I play at the Unitarian church every 6 weeks or so, and this would be a great song for one of their services (depending on the theme of the day). I love the idea that feeling good is a revolution, and we dont' need to let them make us feel bad about ourselves in order to sell us products. Great ideas, presented in a fun, musical way. Folk on!
I love the ideas in this one -- glad you finished it so I got to hear and pump my fist to it!
I really love this one on multiple levels! Great rhythm, great message, great execution.
