nobody likes the stranger. except for jesus.

notesthis started out as a joke song but the jokes wore thin and i had to pivot to something a little harder.
love this was a tnt and left my external writing kit at home so had to write the song down using a sharpie and brown nasty mcdondalds paper towels complete with grease stains. felt appropriate though.

Great idea of an interesting misfit perspective. Just a little bit of a sketch of the characters mixed with a few developing scenarios.
this is my favorite of yours so far. it is such a great character study of a person who cant break into the underworld because nobody trusts a stranger. it was common in the sixties for a person to be ostracized by the hip crowd becuse of the possibility that he is an undercover cop. i really like this sympathetic portrait of such an individual.
Hate it when no one will share their drugs 🥲 I like the line about firey eyes. This sounds very folksy in an old-timey way, like the town drunk singing outside the general store
