The Pixelated Poet suggested this topic on #Filkhaven, it took a few days stewing before my muse was ready to tackle this. She is pretty angry (understandably).
Lyrics
G D G The night was wild with lightening, C G When my duke came home from war, C D G He took pleasure in my body, C D As he’d never done before, I saw the desperation, in his lustful eyes. Only in the hours after, C D G did I come to know the lies,
Em G
In your eyes I see your father’s lust, In your eyes I see his pride, All ruthlessness and jealousy, No chivalry can hide, You may be the once and future king, From my own body born, But underneath the gilded crown, I see the devil’s spawn,
It was only Merlin’s glamour, Let Uther to my bed, Instead of my dear husband, It was Uther’s hand beneath my head, It was Uther’s seed that filled me, Planting a cruel child, As out there on the battlefield, Was my own husband defiled.
So I’ll fade into the background, As Merlin’s scheme takes shape, But do not underestimate, The strange turning of fate, For while you plan your rising, I will plot the fall, My vengeance wrought on Camelot, Will soon lay waste to all.

Thanks for listening, its great that now we have Mary Shelley, Margaret Atwood, Clementine Ford, giving another perspective.
Love the content warning. Musically this might be my favorite of yours so far this month (though so many of them are glorious) -- this project is so cool. So many effective lines, used so naturally; my favorite might be "For while you plan your rising/ I will plot the fall"
Very powerful. Even my cat liked it (he usually ignores music in my laptop, but jumped and watched you intently!)
Cat approval is the highest form of praise!
If only women would have written throughout history. The tales they would have told about our "heroes". Powerful story, presented in excellent "bard mode".
