A song for my mother. Thanks to @willfarmer and his lovely song, "Little Bird" (go check it out, it's lovely: https://fawm.org/songs/320083) this one almost fell into my lap. I'm using a partial capo (bottom four strings) to get an E drone similar to Will's song. (Of course, it sounds nothing like it, because I'm not as good a player as he is and I wrote my own song. But it's inspired by his.)

that is so lovely TC, you made me cry now. Lovely playing/performance and that hook is killer, something about the "i'd start by suggesting" is so day to day but it is loaded.

The melody line on "do what you want to do" is the key to the feeling of this song for me. All killer, no filler. Toes tapping, happily. Reminds me of my Mom too, now sadly passed away. Thank you

The vocal on this is top notch TC. In fact all round this is a quality song, I recall you doing a song for your mother last Fawm and that was a beauty as well! It seems to bring out the best in you, this would stand up in any company

“As long as I can be with you” is such a poignant lyric and I love how it repeats throughout. It could be sad, but with this music it feels hopeful.

I love this song!! Reminds me of John Denver (which is quite the compliment) The melody is classically good and catchy. Love the ascending progs and descending prog in the chorus. Great guitar playing and great vocal delivery!! One of my favorites of yours, I think.
