Still Brothers

Liner Notes
I actually have two sisters, but you know what this song is about. Making something simple that strives to be universal without watering it down is really hard.
Lyrics
I met a talker on the train Thoughts were rattling in his brain I asked him if he’d like something to read
He was shaking in his bones At the thought of going back home They promised to make peace and he agreed
Brothers torn apart are still brothers Brothers torn apart are still brothers
We shook hands I said my name He was just about to do the same The quaking shake of brakes ended the scene
Got up and shoved his way out There’s nothing to be sorry about I don’t mind he took my magazine
Brothers torn apart Are still brothers Brothers torn apart Are still brothers You forgive yourself then the other Brothers torn apart are still brothers Til the end
Brothers torn apart Are still brothers Brothers torn apart Are still brothers You forgive yourself then the other Brothers torn apart are still brothers Til the end

I love the guitars and the storytelling. Really really sweet. “You forgive yourself and then the other”
Love the brevity of this so much — such good, concise storytelling with funny and characterizing details peppered in. Prine-level. It's also redefining "wall of guitars"!
The sentiment behind this reminds me of one of my favorite Springsteen deep cuts — Highway Patrolman. Family stuff is so hard, but it's so impressive when an artist can capture that dynamic in just a few minutes
I like the arrangement quite a lot. Nice vocal too.
this one is so just so intense, emotionally, lyrically. then on top of that you add in that change to A7... phew
I am crying and it is your fault, you wonderful bastard. Thank you 🙏
Love the laid back song with creative lyric about someone you've met on a train. Performance is really well done. Great job.
Incredibly visual lyrics. And the mando at the end is chef's kiss
It’s actually two 12-string guitars!
Whoa! super cool
Sweet tune. Nice guitar part. Makes me think of Bob Schneider's Please Ask For Help.
So vivid... like a short story. It has a great message and beautiful sound., straight from the heart. I love the parallel licks between the lines.
I really love the sentiment of this one. Guitars and vox sound perfect per usual sir Bacci. 😮💨
