I read this prompt to my mom (over the phone) and she was like “you could write a song about instant pots” and I was like “Hell yes”.

Then after she was like “Hey that was pretty good, how long did it take you to write?” And I was like “That was it, I was writing that right then ;)”

Anyway now you have my fav Instant Pot recipe, maybe I’ll make it for dinner!

Two cups of rice, and some dried vegetables And some chicken broth and frozen chicken tenders And a little bit of time, and suddenly I’ve got food for like four days

Who needs expensive things? I know I’m bougie, but I can live on anything A little bit of beans of rice goes a long way, a long way In my Instant Pot!

Oh Instant Pot, you’re the cooking utensil for me I bought my sister a Ninja 11-part thing for her housewarming present And she uses it every day! It’s got an air fryer! It’s good and all the food tastes okay!

And maybe I could work myself up To buying something that does more than just the few things my Instant Pot does But it’s working just the way I want it to!

I’ll put a little bit of pressure in this cooker Put the pressure on this cooker Just make something new! And no one’s gonna stop you with your Instant Pot!

The “I know I’m bougie” made me laugh. (Is it bougie to worry about people thinking you’re bougie?) You got a lot of stuff packed in there doing a skirmish. It’s a fun song, full of musing about food and watching your budget. Now I’m going to have to find out what an Omnichord is.

This toes the line, making the complex solution sound almost simple and cheerful, but not really. The strain shows in between the intention to show that there’s nothing really going on. Calling out the chords to start reinforces the message, for me at least — I could probably play any three of those chords but would surely stumble trying to put them all together. This is good fun and a statement on a jam that most of us are in, in one way or another.

This is obviously the greatest song about an insta-pot ever written. I like the tri-colored stuff -too, lol. Amazing, it took me more than half the song to say - "whoa - is that an omnichord??". Great job on the skirmish, and thanks to your mom, had to listen twice!
