Late Nights

Liner Notes
not that late though. got done before nine. the video stuff seems ridiculous i know - but it's literally the quickest way to do something - just having the visual and the sound, and having to work them together. it feels weird filming gear - kinda showy, but anyway - it's fast. something is better than nothing
here i have a gopro on my head - it's not so bad - you forget you're filming. when i have the gopro strapped to my chest, you can actually hear my heartbeat recorded - i wonder if you hear my brainwaves when on my forehead. let me know.
i never do nights - i'm typically alseep by now, but the tape machine has me thinking - anyway, i want to use the #plumbutter as an effects unit, but for now i'll use it as intended - a #drama machine apparently. but yes, a tribute to night time. i will say uploading at night is so slow.
normally i try to record something before 10am as it's peak summer, and i can be loud and the neighbours won't notice. but by late morning, the sweats when the big capacitors fill up. but this was nice - tried to be quiet - kids are trying to doomscroll roblox on ipads - don't think they even noticed. kept the subs on 1.5 - smooth. #tapedelay #feedback #experimental #electronic #onesynth

You're not just filming gears, you are filming hands ; the wizard's hands. As for your brainwaves, I'm sure they're there, maybe as an infrasonic signal. I really enjoyed watching you conjuring chaos, shaping it, directing it. What gates do you open? Are there any you leave shut? How does it feel to tame the untamable?
I'm loving the mad scientist vibe in the video. And the barely controlled chaos in the music; seems like it could explode at any minute. Yeah, this is some great scary noise here for sure. It's fun trying to figure out where the various sounds are coming from. I'm finding that deep deep hum to be immensely appealing. Yeah, so good.
I love this. ❤️
Please do something like this often, even for the ones that aren't live. Super cool.
I am so jealous of your synth. Clearly you did something good in a previous life.
@fuzzy is right, there's certainly a mad scientist vibe to this. I enjoyed every moment. The chaos, the delay, the distortion, the knob tweaking, all of it. I always enjoying watching other people create, just to see their process in action. And this video gives us a peak at exactly that. I have to admit, I have very little idea of what's going on, but I love that you're using a reel-to-reel as an instrument. That's just too cool. Thanks for allowing us to peak into your world.
