You Smell Like Bad Decisions

Liner Notes
#acousticonetake I wrote the beginning of this on a long, late, drive yesterday, and finished writing the rest this evening. The melody of the last two lines isn't quite what i want but good enough for now.
Lyrics
Well you (Em) smell like bad decisions but I (G) can't help breathe it in I know (Em) I should step away but I'm still (C) standing limb to (G) limb
I (Em) Keep my gaze diverted Look (G) intently at the ground or (Em) gaze into the distance only (C) focus on the (G) sound
(D) Nineteen miles (C) ago (G) Tides.... Pull blood that (D) flows (Em) inching towards the (C) heat it (D) radiates... with (C) every (G) beat

Those first two lines especially are golden, and you sing this with such sardonic charm! I don't know if you plan to expand on this or keep it as a short, but either way, this has a really winning folksy appeal.
It makes me ask the question, what would a bad decision smell like? The first thing that comes to mine is a smell of cologne or the smell of a coffee shop perhaps
it's whatever you need it to be ;)
That first line will be stuck in my head all day. Great job!
sorry!? / Thanks so much!
You hooked me from those opening lines, which are brilliant! I really like the melody and what you’re doing with the accompaniment. Nice job!
thank you so much!
Great imagery. I love anything that engages with other senses besides sound. I know exactly what bad decisions smell like.
