i recently found out that music genai can't do microtones so i kinda wanted to flex on that. this uses harmonics 16-32, with the fundamental on D.
it's a little rough around the edges but i adore how it came out. perhaps it's obvious that i was a bit inspired by Board of Canada's "ROY G BIV", hehe

so whimsical, i love how clean and nonchalant it is, getting some kind of alien village vibes, asking the locals and they say yeeeup we got dissonance round these parts this aint like ur world
Nice short tune! The micronotanily is well-hiden. It only jumps out at the end in the chromatic part.
wonderful! the midi instruments are simple but comforting with the tuning, and the drums are pleasing as well
maybe since ai can't do microtonality we can all switch out of 12TET as rebellion...
im a huge fan of those classic midi-like instruments (the korg M1 in this case)!! i didn't mention it in the liner notes but i spent a lot of effort adjusting the tuning of each key and lamenting the fact i only had 12 keys to adjust :P and hell yeah rebellion! spoiler for my next song but ai also really struggles with odd time signatures ;)
it has detuned feeling at the start, like its a pale shade of the notes we know, the end is my favourite part as it shows new interesting dissonances
yeah the end is my fav part too lol i felt super devious putting a harmonically-aligned sharp 11th into my major chord but it just sounds colorful
Perfect timing! New Maddie Ashman came out today. Those microtonal pan-flutes are nasty! Hope to hear more something like this! (Btw. Roygbiv rules)
ooh, i hadn't heard of maddie ashman before! that kinda rules :O and ty!!
Trip-hop as hell, it is remarkably chill despite being slightly atonal throughout, and that alone deserves credit
