I'm Free

Skirmish: Free Bird (@roblyon5150)Liner Notes
My second skirmish ever - quick recording with my rubber bridge guitar and vocal live, then a doubled guitar. Started 30 mins in, so still well under an hour.
Lyrics
Flying over hills and valleys Ponds and streams Everything is distantly Apart from me
Nothing holds me Nothing there to tie me down No one holds me No one seems to stick around
Free but i don’t know just where to land I’m free but I don’t t hink I understand Why me? I don’t know who to be Free
Stars above me Twinkle as I Pass on by Land below like wrinkles round my Aging eyes
No one told me No one said this Could be true Nothing there to ground me Nothin but the blue
Free but i don’t know just where to land I’m free but I don’t think I understand Why me? I don’t know who to be Free

this is great- really cinemtic, I can picture this being used in a movie somewhere . very smart and creative arrangement choices- I'll have to steal that trick of playing the melody that i'm singing sometime! some really favorite lines too 'land below like wrinkles round my aging eyes' ! and a great chorus/refrain
Mirroring the vocal and guitar works so well here, lets that little melody work just right as the turnaround. Skirmish results like this are a stunning reminder how some songs are just waiting for us to pour them out. This is wonderful listen, a comfortable atmosphere like drifting through clouds.
Wow. The rubber bridge guitar really shines in this song with the melody and thoughtful tone. Lovely.
I had to sit with this a bit. Beautiful. Lovely production with the guitars and voice. This would be a perfect album closer.
nice, really good vox and guitars. Like it
This is awesome. First birdy point of view. Fabulous.
