Lyrics

He was a son of a docker, born by the Mersey tide And she was a dreamer, she wanted her paintings to set her free they lived at the edge of the city, watching the days go by and they wanted and waited, they craved for the better days

He wanted a life where his hands could do more than his father’s did He dreamt of a world where his heart would belong She painted the sea and ships as they passed her by she envied them, for their freedom, and all that they could have seen

Of all of these people, and all of their dreams of all of these cities and all these streets there's only two people and only two hearts who cross at the river of lonely hearts

He was a son of a docker, born by the Mersey tide And she stayed a dreamer, her heart was what set her free they sailed the world like the ships that would pass them by they were envied for their freedom and the love that needs no disguise

And they sang: "I don't really mind it when it rains when i'm with you - you are all I care about"

Damn! The CSNY of it all is really rubbin me the right way! Great production — vocals are pretty immaculate.

This really has hit potential! Congrats! Great production. Great pop composition, straddling really nicely between very conventional and surprising. Hyvä, Suomi-kaveri! 😄

Massive production. The piano really makes you want to dance, which would me a great idea if i weren't having breakfast. Well done my friend. 🙏

Youre going for a different sound this year and completely nail it. What a splendid production. That bopping piano with the strings!

Ty! Mellotron ftw!

I really love the driving piano, what a great heartbeat for the song. The bridge bit with "all of these people" is super catchy, I'd love to hear it twice, maybe once more right at the end of the song? Love how the scope of the lyrics is both enormous and also super narrow

Thanks for the comment, it made me think! Tbh I agree. I started with the intent of making a two minute song and the couple in the story can meet only once, so I really couldn't or didn't want to drop the part in again. It's kinda the highlight. I should take something else out to make the song shorter and make the repeat-listening aspect easier.
