Cheesy theme, wrote the words on a plane ride yesterday. Using Sumo Studio as my DAW and my phone mic, I like what it does to my voice :)

Well, this is a damn fine country song! It held onto me the whole way! I can see why there is controversy about AI because this demo is as good as anything to ever come out of a Nashville studio! If you wrote the lyrics and melody and used AI for the demo I sure see that as an original song with an AI assist! 😀 I think what some folks complain about is when someone fires up AI and says "write me a song about line dancing in the style of John Prine". But even then, I think the listening public gets to decide what they wanna listen to. My mentors always used to tell me If It Sounds Good Then It Is Good. And this song sounds mighty good!

Thanks for the listen and comment! My thoughts on using AI are far more nuanced than the typical "good vs bad" that online discussions always seem to devolve into (I studied both AI and music in the early 90s in college and was specifically fascinated by Douglas Hofstadter and his work on using computers as a vehicle to understand creativity).

The term "AI Slop" makes no sense to me at all at this point. It's way too good. I have fooled around with just typing prompts, my main complaint is everything just sounds like your typical Nashville-written and produced country song :)
