Fetching milk
by @skyr
Liner Notes
Sorry for the title :-) I went out for a walk to get some milk from the next farm, and I made some field recordings with my smartphone. Initially, I intended to do something quiet and ambient-ish... but when I heard the recording of the door slamming shut, I went down the road with some more beat. And after combining it with sounds of the compressor venting air and the click of two milk bottles, it all reminded me of Jean Michel Jarre's "Industrial Revolution". So I created some Jarre-ish sounds - and here we are :-)
Tools used: Bitwig Studio, Vital, Valhalla Supermassive, and again the Aerophone (this time as midi input).

Yes, that's the door slam, layered with a low sine for a bit more oomph.
That's great, field recordings always create a new dimension to the track. It's like a metaphor to bells chime -- put me in a context of the song creator, it's invaluable.
Amazing work!! Love this piece
awe inspiring ! definitely made this milk run epic
AH Jarre have not heard that name for many a moon . Does all sound a bit apocolyptic. Love the bottles. Still s sucker for those big synths - really god listen
JMJ is one of my musical heroes :-) Glad you like it!
The bottles are an interesting sample, I think you combined the sounds well. I think some bass would (like a sub pass) would be great with this. Koodos for using a field recording, this is so fun.
Good point - added an underlying sine under the base drum (door slam). Reuploaded :-)
this is super clever. Great use of sounds here, and creating some JMJ sounds to go with it.
I LOVE HOW THIS OPENS. I think that hard kick is the door slamming shut? It's a very satisfying sound.
