rshakesp: Alissimon and I have been haunting open mics in a ven diagram of Herts and London for a few years and done a bit of collabing - so we thought why not do something quick for FAWM this year - she's a bit handy with her voice, and lyrics, and production, and writing.... - so I did some guitar and she was kind enough to let me sing a bit at the end too - I think it came out great - but I'll let you decide if she's all of the above...

alissimon: Richard is doing a very good job of selling himself short!! He manages to come up with the creative directions and ideas incredibly quickly and instinctively, and translates this to a very vibey recording amazingly well. I think our default styles/ genres are just different enough to make a really cool blend of sounds.

I can't decide which I like better, the music, the lyrics or the vocal. They're all wonderful and go so well together. Congrats on a very successful collab! I love this! Those harmonies are sublime. More, please!

Well that was just fantastic - really enjoyed the way the chord progressions surprised me in a number of places, but in a really good way, and the voice/lyrics were spectacular

WOW WOW WOW!!! This is phenomenal! I mean, everything about it is off the charts superb! It is a very unique piece and so beautifully done! The write is tight and the performance is exceptional. I'm running out of words to describe this!

@alissimon has the perfect vocals for this and the song would have been top-drawer with only her but then toward the end when you both sung, OMG, I am swooning! This is so, so, so wonderful!

Holy heck, if this is a first draft I kinda can't wait to hear you polish something up. This is totally thought through so beautifully -- lyrics, arrangements, sonic happiness (for me!) in the reverb. Everything is so tasty and precise from lyrics to musical choices. Absolutely loved it and will be following!

Gorgeous! Love the mix on this from the start. Amazing voice @alissimon. So full with so few elements. Enveloping. Those wide panned, airy BG vox. So good. Beautiful melody.

Fantastic all around. Lovely vocals and heavenly harmonies. The guitar is done very tastefully and supports the main body of the song. "wasted fantasy, a flaw in design" is a great line. Loved the guitar break and the male vocals coming in were a nice surprise. Gave the song a whole new level. The ending solo is full of haunting and longing. Great song all around.

WOW! I enjoyed listening to every second of this, holy cow! That guitar tone paired with your atmospheric vocal delivery, oh my goodness, this is such a treat! Those backing vocals are just heavenly! Also, the production treatment on the bridge vocal is mind-blowingly fantastic. "Born again sinner, devoid of love..." fantastic lyrics throughout!

I am really surprised how polished some FAWM songs are. This one blows me away. Great playing, great singing. Definitely a jam here.
