Liner Notes
A "scrap song" as I'm calling it, this one is basically composed of fragments of song ideas and poetry, stitched together to tell a story.
Inspired by this past summer when I fell in love swimming at the docks. Although it was a short-lived romance, it was one of the first times in my life where I felt at a loss for words to describe the emotions I was experiencing, so captivated with the other person and the stunning scenery that made up the backdrop of our lovely moments.
Lyrics
I stand here, captivated by you, Ladybugs in your hair, the sun on your shoulder. You sit there, gazing out at the tide, Rocks lining your pockets, softened by your hand.
The Earth, cannot hold us, While we shoot for the moon. The ground, cannot contain us, When we live among stars.
I see your face, radiant as the moon, Constellations as freckles, universe in your eyes. You hold my gaze, words unnecessary, Dreams left unspoken, night realized.
And when our words are tangled up, In mystic, affable letters, And all we've got to do, Is take one sentence from that page, And turn it on its head, Make the world feel topsy-turvey.
Dreams, reality, The stars and the sea, All for you and me.

Oooh so beautiful. Love is well told through fragments. I think this song came along very nicely. Your voice is pretty and you can hear the emotion in it. You really captured the world is all ours feeling when you're in love. Also ladybugs in your hair is cute as hell 🐞
Beautiful in its simplicity, lovely voice with a fitting tone of vulnerability. I do a lot of "scrap songs" too, putting stanzas and lines I've scribbled down together.
