Been wanting to do some pop EDM for a while. Adore the style. Zedd's "Middle" most of all. And a tense Vocoder harmony a la Imogen Heap's "Hide & Seek" melts me. So, this is a quick attempt at some of that. All instruments are synths from Serum and a drummer in Logic. Not loving the lyrics on this – feels like 2 separate songs – but not going to get "precious" with it. It is what it is, with all its flaws.

Chords are entirely one progression: C G Am F

Edit: Trying a different structure here. Now it's around standard length. I'll probably nix the first Post Chorus since I don't hear Zedd doing those.

This really sparkles, I like the broken arpeggio verse accompaniment, and how that carries through the links into the chorus but is thickened out with texture. It certainly felt like a coherent whole to me. Great job.

The vocals stopped me in my tracks. I feel like it is so hypnotic that I don't even need to know the meanings but need to ride along with it. Really loving it.

Hey this is super cool, that main you and me melody is really catchy and the vocoder works really well to capture the exact effect you were going for! Feels like it has room to grow and open out, but it’s tight just as it is

Thanks, @theodamus! I agree. At just over 2 minutes I definitely plan to expand it ("Chorus" is super short and could definitely have a doubled chorus at the end), but thought this length is perfect for technical completion and for efficient use of time for listeners on FAWM.
