The first song/poem.

My theme is 'Commit'.

Written on the way to work. It was the act of committing to completing a song between when I stepped onto the tube train and when I had to leave.

I then wrote the idea on guitar and created a rough demo.

As my time is limited, I then used AI to replace the vocals and turn the guitars into synths. It is cheating, but the words and the chords are as they were originally.

I am stepping out of the plane, In words, And letting the gravity of prose, Separate me from those, That has never shaped a lyric, Or committed to a poem.

Each word is time in free fall, A space passed through, A thought in the air I’m passing through.

And the world stretches out With no clear landing spot I think of trees And buildings And those who fill those rooms.

But in reality I am crammed in a carriage My feet upon the bucking floor My hand clings tight to the metal If I let go, I will fall

So My time is limited I gather my thoughts And let the final lines rush towards me With a sense of urgency

There is no space left The rush The hour The ground The platform Find me Terra firmer than I expected I land Unharmed.
