Transporting Fire

Liner Notes
after laboring over something earlier that turned out to be a ripoff of that evanescence song that @sravanikameswari covers this came out super quickly, which is good because I have plans. I would have liked to clean this up a bit and zhuzhed it up some but here we are.
Lyrics
Breathe in my hands Like I’m holding the dice The flame understands Love’s a sacrifice What’s the harm in a letter? Could I know you better? Carry that ember I can’t help but remember
There’s an expression That’s burned in my brain A curl of your brow When you said my name Familiar and new That’s how I remember you
Transporting fire Across county lines Taming desire With little white lies What’s the harm in a call? can’t forget you afterall Carry that ember I can’t help but remember
You’re burned in my brain The curl of your brow When you say my name Familiar and new That’s how I remember you
Every 3 months Guess we make up rules It only took once Still grinning like fools What’s the harm in a touch? I miss you so much Carry that ember I can’t help but remember

agree with @sourlipsmusic - you've been on a hell of a run
Every “what’s the harm” cuts DEEP. Woof.
Also gotta say, this has been an especially good round of recordings.

Really beautiful. Which tuning are you using? The chords give some much feel here! And the lyrics are super cinematic.
Open C (but capo 4, I think?) — so a real waste of neck tension. lol
Thank you so much!
This is so beautiful, I love the guitar on the verses. Also love the subtle lyric changes between the two choruses like having the second one set “say my name” in present tense even though it’s still “how I remember you.”
another beauty-bomb in your arsenal
