My Maypole of Love

Challenge: MADE-UP WORDSLiner Notes
This is for the current challenge, "Made Up Words. There aren't really any made-up words, but rather words and phrases that don't actually, logically go together. I mean, look; if Dylan can write, "And your flesh like silk, and your face like glass Who among them do they think could carry you?" and have it accepted as "profound", I'm sue I can talk about my Maypole of Love! There was a planetary allignment a few weeks ago, and my wife and I started talking about "planets on the edge of the moon" and agreed there was a song in there somewhere. #guywithukulele #acoustic #singersongwriter #acousticonetake
Lyrics
I see planets on the edge of the moon. I see stars in your eyes A cacoon to rest my soul. Craters of Earth are beds to pool my Maypole of Love.
Planets on the edge of the moon will open my mind to a world I can never leave behind. Not now, if I want to find my Maypole of Love.
My Maypole of Love, My Maypole of Love I'm gonna find my Maypole of Love I'm gonna find my One Beloved
On the edge of the Moon I call for the man I was meant to be I call for Lessons Lost out at sea My name reflects My time to be when I find my Maypole of Love.
Planets circle at the edge of the moon, recalling a day in June when the sun shone warm and true and I could see from high above my Maypole of Love.
My Maypole of Love, My Maypole of Love I'm gonna find my Maypole of Love I'm gonna find my One Beloved

Thanks!
Very poetical language - I like the way you decided to use the planets at the edge of the moon.
Now it's your turn!
This song is quite sweet even if the words don't quite mean something. The ukelele is perfect for this.
I'm inspired to explore the similarity in "maypole" and "maple". Hmmmm.
"Planets circle at the edge of the moon, recalling a day in June when the sun shone warm and true" these lyrics are so beautiful and wistful, i enjoy the imagery it conjures
