Waiting for the Words

Skirmish: Cascade/Blanket (@atornberg)Liner Notes
Tried to go with the idea of a snow blanket on a car while two people need to talk about their relationship. #indiefolk #singersongwriter #acoustic
Lyrics
snowflakes fall on the car Street light comes and goes the world stops in its tracks nightland black and breathless
snow blanket tucks us in shields us from prying eyes seats reclined, eye to eye we should talk about us
under this canopy of snow tonight ….
I’m waiting for the words you’ve never said I’m waiting for the words you’ve never said
i’m a ship full of dreams and I want to sail with you I need things more defined but you’re so hard to read
like a harlequin romance with a brooding stranger Who in the last pages Will tell me he loves me
under this canopy of snow tonight ….
I’m waiting for the words you’ve never said I'm waiting for the words you've never said I’m waiting for the words you’ve never said

The picture you're painting with these lyrics is beautiful! Also loving your vocal, amazing use of reverb! I enjoyed every bit of this!
I could live in these beautiful chords for days. I like the slight tweaks you did with the melody in the verses. Oh wow those descending chords under "under this canopy of snow tonight" - gorgeous!! I also really like the lyrical pacing and phrasing in that line. Lovely vocals and the subtle backing vocals are such a nice touch. Wow this is an outstanding skirmish write!
Thank you so much for listening!
Back seat romance, love it. The descending line in the chorus is great. Nightland black and breathless, that slaps, so good. :))
