The Unreliable Narrator

by @lonelyrobot

Liner Notes

My Dad was a teller of tall tales, to an extent we only learned about after his death. So, this is for him, the most unreliable of narrators.

Lyrics

Dismember blood and bones, live life in sepia tones, Collect stones for debt with no regrets. Posing for photographs, I don’t understand the ask. No connection just a vignette.

It’s something to celebrate. Such tales a soldier makes! Wish I could stop those words from forming. My fears they constellate as past stories dissipate, But I couldn’t stop that world from falling

My colour’s saturated, this anger’s overrated, But it’s just a symptom in the end. Those thoughts won’t hide the feeling. Spent several years unreeling. Can’t tell the damage from the mend.

It’s something to celebrate. Such tales a soldier makes! Wish I could stop those words from forming. My fears they constellate, as past stories dissipate, But I couldn’t stop that world from falling.

I’ve got a secret story that you’ll never forget

This song sounds perfect, I'm a little jealous of your sound mixing skills! The song is super catchy and terribly well performed, bravo! The ending really surprised me, that tension and then the explosion, it's very well composed!

Cool indie-rocker. I dig the tonality during the "solo" section. And the raucousness that follows is just awesome!

Love the guitar and bass in this. Sounds great! Loads of awesome energy in here, too. 😀

Ah man, this rocks! Rip-roaring. A rock radio ready production if I ever heard one. So many things to like, but that bridge into the epic ending is pretty special.

Very cool, great storytelling (heh) in the lyrics. I enjoyed the guitar licks halfway into the verse, an elevating touch. The end was a belter. I very much agree with your last hashtag!!

This rules, particularly love the chorus riff but it's all great. And killer fuzz at the end, whoa!

OK, I love this. Good groove, good production, five stars. I waish the vox were a hair louder but that's my only note.
