Lyrics

I trace the edges of my mind. A cartographer of empty spaces mapping the twisting lines between heartbeats and hesitations.

[Pre-chorus] Time escapes me softly, like a breath becomes a yawn, like a crack becomes costly, like a dream fades at dawn.

[Chorus] A splintered light in the mirror again. A reflection I almost know: a stranger in familiar skin using my eyes to search for home.

Yesterday's certainties scatter like ash. Each truth I held dissolves on my tongue like communion wafers in backlash: unmaking the sacred, unlearning the known.

I gather fragments of discarded days, piece together what the wind’s blown, watch the light bend and break into streaks of colors yet unknown.

Perhaps I am the space between notes, the resonance in the drumming, a hidden place of gathered hopes and the quiet whisper of becoming.

I really dig the driving rhythms and relentless circling of the guitar riffs. I love the imagery of the lyrics and some really slick rhymes (not too direct). With the constant attack of the rhythm, I do feel a bit of sameness that I think would be helped by some bigger shifts to the harmonies creating more of a progression through pre-chorus to chorus, and possibly a shift away from ABAB rhyme scheme. But perhaps that's intentional! Congrats on the first track!
