Part of ENTOMOLOGICON, my Experimental Progressive #Metal project exploring Insects and other bugs through sound sampling, exotic instruments, unusual time signatures, and atypical vocal styles.

This #drone #doom song takes you into the middle of a swarm of locusts and attempts to evoke their impossible, endless hunger- and its consequences.

Lyrics

The swarm; Thicker than your blood, sicker than the firstborn son. The rivers run with wings, reddening the sky, killing off the things that grow 'til nothing's left at all.

And they wont stop 'til the final fill is found- 'til the grasses have been stripped to desecrated ground. They're never satisfied. So the mandibles cannibalize- they savor lips and tongues and eyes- there's nothing they won't try to devour to feed their flight.

Really great sound. Guitar fuzz is fantastic, and definitely gives an 90s alt rock influence for sure. Nice work!

Very cool sound to this one. Very raw and not too polished! The vocals also sound really good. Although I don't listen to much of this kind of stuff, I feel they are very fitting for this style.

I love the combination of doomy fuzz with alt-rock scales and melodies and deliberately esoteric subject matter

I never been into insects, but the more I listen to this albums, the more I want to understand these critters and let them inspire me. This sounds like a 90s hymn that got lost in between names like Kyuss. Awesome stuff...! Please tell me when you finished your album :)

I'll let you know when it's done. Usually I assemble the best 5-7 FAWM tracks, remaster then and rerecord some parts, and release it as an EP.

This is so good!!! I love the locust sound, so haunting. Fantastic work on the guitar, had me bobbing my head and dancing in my bed haha! The lyrics are creepy and so creative- “Thicker than your blood, sicker than the firstborn son” & “So the mandibles cannibalize” are my favorites. Really awesome stuff!
