Liner Notes

A few months ago I was working on a Kickstarter video for my upcoming solo album, my first solo album in more than 20 years. The video theme is "other things I haven't done in 20 years." One of them was, play clarinet. I borrowed a friend's kid's clarinet (yes, I Lysolled the mouthpiece!) Upon taking one toot of the horn, I was smitten all over again. I bought a cheap clarinet over the holidays. This is the first song I've written on the clarinet.

(It's an instrumental)

How have we never heard that you were (are) a clarinet player?! For a 20 year break, great job! Wait, and you also play piano?! Sweet melody, I could see this playing over a movie scene, a little sad, a little joyful.

So cool! I'm impressed that you can a) play clarinet, and b) play it this well after not having played it in 20 years. Love the melody and presentation here.

Glad you found the joy of clarinets again!

I zonged you! This is such a sweet melody, Aaron, and your tone is fabulous! Now you can go write a meta song about writing a song on the clarinet. :)
