I was moved by this melody by @theflyingcelery and suggested adding continuo. Her reply mentioned bassoon and harpsichord and I added pizz bass. I think we are just in time for tea.

I had to check out the continuo. Love the additions! Nice choices for the other instruments. Love the depth the bassoon gives, and that harpsichord is just perfection. Absolutely charming piece!

Thanks, The bassoon and harpsichord were Ideas (sarcastic?) from @theflyingcelery. I was pleased that they paired well with the viola, like a fine wine with the right cheese. (pun intended). Thanks for listening and commenting.

I think the two of you made something quite unique! @theflyingcelery 's original viola piece was really nice and cheerful already, and I really the harmony and joyfulness @russkeys added. A lovely result to an unexpected collab :)

Came here from the first Dawdling along post. This is an amazing build from the original. We don't get much baroque on FAWM, it's so refreshing! Solid playing and great composition. Awesome work!

Seeing this was a Collab I went off and listened to the original first. The extra additions go so well and this absolutely throws images into my mind of tea dances with people in period costumes. A fine Collab indeed!

I am delighted that you enjoyed it. I used to contradance quite a bit. Now the knee slows me down but I still enjoy the music. I have a score for the piece if you are interested.
