I Remember Your Spark

Liner Notes
So, Google Drive didn't embed - tried to upload to YT - it turned it into a short w/o asking, so, not sure this will work either..lmk if not. Buuuut:
I had just realized the sunporch was almost warm for the first time in a weeks (I'm in CT USA), so I ran in and taped a quick run through - it's ok... During FAWM, I most often create sketches, to be filled in, and smoothed out later. This is about meeting/knowing one of those people that, even when your time together isn't long, they can impact your life in amazing ways. They just seem like they are from a different level of existence, or something. I've been blessed to know a couple in my time - and I remember… #folk #acousticonetake
Lyrics
I Remember Your Spark
I saw you dancing on the head of a pin, your light shining coming from within/ within your eyes, I thought I saw a place I knew, but had never been before/ before you left, you said to me Life is precious..
but only when you're free And you're going to have to find it on your own and, no matter how hard it gets Never forget
Feeling small, but I had to try This old world's so much larger than you and I/ I remember when I first saw the edge of the sea, I knew I couldn't see it all/ all I wanted was to sail away maybe find the other side one day
but I'll have to find it on my own no matter how long it takes I'll never forget
when the sun goes down everything is so dark among the things I hold dear I remember your spark
I saw you dancing on the head of a pin, your light came shining from within

Thank you!
I like the breaks. Enjoyed the lyrics... especially: Feeling small, but I had to try This old world's so much larger than you and I. Nice ending.
Thanks for the "double tap" listen - much appreciated!
Yes. Meeting one of those people is a special experience and the song conveys this well. Neat chords! I like the 'dancing on a head of a pin' to indicate the angelic presence you experienced.
That you for listening!
All your live playing pays out. You have such a good coordination, and I love these open chords
Thanks Nadine - running that C shape up and down the neck one afternoon, and I really liked the sound - I was getting a little nostalgic feel
Nice work on this one. It's got a loose vibe but carries a powerful message. Good guitar playing, and your singing is like falling into a big leather recliner. I enjoyed this.
Thank you! “ your singing is like falling into a big leather recliner” is my new favorite compliment, ever 🎶
Sweet song. I like how you use the entire fretboard.
Thanks for listening. I was enjoying the sound of that C shape up and down the neck. Song just kind of appeared from that.
Got a great rhythm here. Good guitar playing, and your voice is rich. I like it. Could see this being played 'round a campfire. 😀
Thanks for the listen, and kind words (and the odds are pretty good it will be played around a campfire at some point 😁)
I love this song, and the way some of the verses blend together is so clever! You did really well to convey the longing for someone we miss. Wonderful job!
