Summer break

Skirmish: What I did on Summer Brea... (@jlampson)Liner Notes
An interesting prompt which was hard to respond to...at least honestly
Lyrics
What did I do on my summer break? D’you think I can remember So long ago, I can barely recall The months from June to September What did I do on my summer break?
Weather was good, or at least not too bad Don’t think it even rained for a day I could be mistaken, I usually am I’ve got an addled brain
So I’ll invent the things that may have happened You can decide if they’re real I sailed my yacht to the edge of beyond To see how it would feel That’s what I did on my summer break
I saw the pyramids at midnight Lit up with a magical light I talked with a shaman in a cave I was arrested at an illegal raid What I did on my summer break last year
I eluded the cops on my faithful horse I was mentioned on the news for days I got top billing in the legal reports Then I just drifted away What I did on my summer break My summer break last year

you had a similar structure of a tag line song, I think works really well here. This is just on the border whether this all could actually happen, or not. Great mystery there
Great take on the theme. Love the melancholy chord progression and the delivery of the vocals fits perfectly, specifically the verse about the pyramids. Your vibrato is wonderful.
I love the creative story you unfold in this well crafted lyric - love the approach you took to it —- the sincere smooth gentle delivery is perfect!
When I saw this prompt, the first approach I thought of was the "unreliable narrator" and some outrageously fanciful happenings that I might describe. You beat me to it. I like where you went here.
Great 1st verse - I totally relate, and I see it as both humorous and possible reality lol! The fantastical remainder made me smile as well.
