Malicious Prophecy

Liner Notes
Opening with some bestial black/death metal! This kinda just flowed out of me, so I guess I'm off to a good start. A hefty dose of war metal gods that are Blasphemy in this one, I suppose.
Full disclosure, these previously unused lyrics have mostly been written a bit under a year ago... I made tiny adjustments to them, but mostly they're NOT from this February.
Oh and by the way. If you enjoy this kind of grinding warnoise, then keep your eyes peeled for my band Hoc est Bellum's debut full-length! News about that coming during the first half of this year.

Lyrics
The seals of the black gate break And the beast will take his throne Deep from the belly of earth A roar of malicious prophecy
Piercing the entrails of the kingdom Digging a hole for the mass grave
Rotten walls breathe pestilence Nigredo in the flames of the world Funereal smoke covering the sun Eclipse marking the final chapter
Digging a hole for the mass grave

Thank you for the comment! Listening to it, I feel the vocals are hearable. I do think in this kind of music they should be just part of the wall of sound, not particularly the lead instrument. But it has to be said that I've always struggled with mixing vocals and hated it. I just can't seem to get a good sound to them. So maybe I subconsciously bury them to hide what I feel to be a subpar sound, hahah! Well, luckily it's FAWM, so doesn't have to be perfect. Oh, and thanks for the compliment on overall production. I'm starting to be fairly pleased with the guitar and bass tone I'm getting.
Heii hoii the production is kick-ass! Also your örppäs are somehow getting better by the year! Filthyyyyyyy
Thank you so much! I feel like I've been rusty with my vox the whole FAWM, so feels nice to get some good feedback 😅
Those drums sound great. What are you using??
Thanks! They're Addictive Drums 2, Drumkit from Hell package.
absolutely stellar guitar riffs and tone, the slides around 1m12s slay
great opener!!
Thank you! Yes, the pickslides are a homage to the gods of war metal, Conqueror!
Is there anything better than opening with a song tagged black metal, death metal and grindcore? Absolutely brutal and unforgiving!
Cheers! I really dig the combination of those three brutal genres.
Absolutely love it!
Awesome, thank you!
This goes so very very hard
Cheers! That was the aim, heheh!
Great way to start FAWM. I love this aggressive sound. Dude that guitar tone and screeching
Thank you! Like I said to a previous commenter, I've honed the guitar tone little by little during the last few years, so I'm happy if it shows :)
Yay! I love that it keeps the vibe of old black and grind recordings but you can actually hear the music.
Cheers!
Brutal. Love the guitar tone.
Thank you! I've spent a few years tweaking it, so I hope it shows at least a little, heh!
Malicious
Splendid!
Absolutely nasty. Beautiful stuff.
Thank you! Nasty is what I aim for.
The second song I listen to this year, and it has blast beats. Fucking. Yes.
Cheers! Hope you enjoyed the blasting!
Gonna be some good competition for riffs this year. What's your rig?
Thank you for the comment! I use a Yamaha THR10X amp plugged straight into the computer with USB. I use external pedals for that gnarly distortion, which are both made by my friends. The other one's Shivver by Unsound Circuitry https://unsoundcircuitry.bigcartel.com/product/shivver The other, which I also use for bass, is Frank's Spaghetti by fellow fawmer @hmorg
I boost that one with Boss SD-1. The cab sims come straight from the Yamaha computer desktop editor.Yay
Ah... now THAT'S what I was waiting for. Thank the gods you are here, making noise like this. It's just absolutely the right sort of fukkin brutal. Oh, this is going to be a good FAWM, isn't it?!
Ave! Oh, my man, it is going to be GLORIOUS!
Can't wait to listen what you will cook during this month. This is already a killer start! Awesome vocals & blast beats.
Thanks, mate! Most likely venturing all over the place, heheh. Will have to check your stuff out tomorrow!
The drums carry such power here. Every section has a great foundation. Quality music on top as always.
Cheers, man! Thank you for the compliments!
Great, powerful riffs - love the breaks. Dark as it gets
Cheers for the comment! Hope you enjoyed the darkness!
Great production! I'd bring the vocals forward just a bit, they sound good. I know you said you just growl, but what else would you need for black metal? I'd just like to hear 'em a bit better.
