I was thinking of doing a song about the cycle of the seasons, and it occurred to me that it would be appropriate to write it as a round.
Buds are opening in springtime
In the summer flowers grow
Blooms that fade and die in autumn
Winter shrouds them in the snow
Seeds return into the earth
Sleeping for a spring rebirth

What a cool idea, and a lovely song! I've done a capella before (not this FAWM), but never a round. Giving a second listen now - I'm enchanted.

This is a cool idea, writing a round; making the music metrical enough that you can line it up at points and have it harmonically work... it impresses me. Lovely lyrics too! Nice work.

i can appreciate just how hard it is to write a round: they are deceptively simple! i love the melody of this, it's got that ollllld folk song feel to it, feels like an ancient melody. and the subject matter fits it really nicely. also manages to teach something, which those old songs often did! very cool! (ps we must be on the same wavelength: i also did a round and a time travel song this fawm!)
