I wanted to write a little choral piece. Ideally, the verses are one voice the first time around, the first chorus is in two-part harmony. When it repeats, the verse is in two and the chorus in three parts.
All of the harmonies have been written, but it was a *challenge* to get harmonies recorded, so I gave up. It'll require a fair bit of practice for both notes and rhythm before I can get a more realistic recording made.
Photographs of loved ones
We carry in our folds
Of paper familiar soft and grey
Stories never listened for
Heard, or disappearing
Lost and drifting in the wind
There’s a clear line, a thread, a grain
We’re all made of the same
Fibers, a mesh of reds blues and greens
We were blended for a season
Our piles lifting eyes
And arms and straining ears to listen to the breeze
